Kit's mouth-watering meals are his own creations, based on aromatic infusions with Sri Lankan, French and Moroccan influences. He uses only the finest, freshest ingredients, carefully selected for their nutritional value and outstanding flavour.

AN EVENING WITH A DIFFERENCE

Kit Perera offers a dinner party service with a twist. As your chef, he will personally cook a four course meal for you and your guests, but actively encourages you all to join in! Kit also hosts the entire evening, leaving you free to enjoy yourself.

IN YOUR OWN ENVIRONMENT

From large corporate functions to small family gatherings, Kit will work with you in any venue of your choice. Whether at home or at work, Kit adapts to your environment, providing equipment as necessary. He also takes care of the table presentation and music to create the right ambience.

TAKING THE HASSLE OUT OF HOSTING

Kit aims to make holding any event as easy as possible for you. He will help you plan your menu and assist in choosing complementary wine. He then arranges everything from shopping and preparation, to greeting guests, cooking, serving and cleaning up.

Kit is an excellent raconteur and will host your party with humour and professionalism. He is full of fascinating anecdotes, both from his travels and his career as a professional cricketer. You can relax knowing your dinner party is in very capable hands.

PASSIONATE ABOUT FOOD

Kit's passion for food is infectious! His deep love of cooking stems from childhood, when he was inspired by his grandmother. Now, with over twenty years of travel and culinary experience to his name, he is eager to share his knowledge of world cuisine, which helps to shape his own delicious dishes.

Kit's inspiration for Chef for a night stems from his own strong belief in the value of traditional family meals. "Sharing and celebrating food is a great way to relax and encourage good conversation," he says. "Too often we 'eat on the go' and don't take time to enjoy food properly. We should all slow down and learn to appreciate the things that really matter."

I’m a long term fan. Kit’s events are a great way to treat clients or workmates or have a great night out with friends. Incredible food (understatement!) Great ambiance and a nice mix of cooking lessons and pure socialisation. Tip: Make sure you try the chili and lime prawns
